I look back through the years and realize that poetry (all forms) does not get the recognition it deserves. At least in my book... (a little author humor, too soon? Ok lol). So I wanted to give a 'I see you' shoutout to the ones that are doing and flowing with their craft.

Poetry is an art and it can be portrayed in all different ways, through all types of emotions, but please refrain from too much profanity, sexual explicit rhetoric and negative connotations. Besides that, all views are welcomed but be respectful.

For the poets' works that are chosen, you will receive an email stating that your poem will be acknowledged on Poetry Corner. Entries will be posted on the website along with a picture of yourself, if you want to provide it. If not, your name and your poem title will only be noted. We will update Poetry Corner with new poetry works every 25th of every other month so if your art wasn't or hasn't been picked, KEEP TRYING!

Below are a few additional items to utilize before submitting.

  • Submit poems via video, audio, or written format. For written poems please use Word or PDF

  • The deadline for submissions is the 18th of every other month

  • There is no monetary gain from posting your poem(s) to our website. So, make sure you are okay with that before providing your precious works.

  • Also, we are not responsible for any kind of plagiarism. We urge you to register your poem with the US Copyright Office before uploading. Of course, your work is 'copyrighted' the moment you created it but to be safe.... Copyright

We hope to see a wave of poetry put forth. You got it? Ok, let's go! I will go first ;)

When darkness is all you see

How can I bring you back to me?

I want you there despite

the frigid weather you create.

I will get frostbite

from touching you in order to get to your heart.

All the cracks and crevices of it, where only the creatures of the night behold.

You lay with this unemotional baggage

And get up with a cold.

It is so cold…

It is like an illness, heavy with guilt and possibly regret,

I am looking to rebuild the broken shards that cut deep and infect.

Nevertheless I can deal with this…

Know that when I say,

It is only when you want the cold nights

Is when you want me with warm days.
